Crystal Communications' founders are true finance and management professionals. A CPA and a lawyer respectively, Daniel and Lydia Chong both honed their skills at Fortune 500 companies. Daniel M. Chong, CPA
Founder and President
As Founder and President of Crystal Communications, Daniel Chong provides strategic direction and oversees all aspects of the company's operations, including business development and financial management. Daniel brings over two decades of experience in operations management, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and lending.
Prior to founding Crystal Communications in 2000, Daniel was Vice-President / Director / CFO of Provident Services, Inc., the lending subsidiary of Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV), the world's largest funeral and cemetery company. At Provident, Daniel was responsible for managing finance and administrative functions for this $275 million dollar finance company.
Earlier in his career Daniel was Vice-President / Loan Services Manager of First City Texas, NA and a Senior Tax Accountant at Seidman and Seidman. He started his career as a Tax Accountant at Raymond International.
Daniel holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Houston. Daniel is a certified public accountant.
Lydia Johnson Chong
Founder, Vice-President, and Technology Sales Manager
As Founder, Vice-President, and Technology Sales Manager of Crystal Communications, Lydia Chong provides strategic direction and oversees all aspects of the company's sales and marketing initiatives. Lydia brings over two decades of experience in technology hardware sales, project management services, and international business.
Prior to founding Crystal Communications in 2000, Lydia was Global Account Manager for Anixter International (NYSE: AXE) the leading global distributor of wire, cable, and communications connectivity products. At Anixter, Lydia managed the Andersen Consulting Account where she designed, implemented, and managed a national cabling and communications network rollout. She also held responsibility for expanding Anixter's international business relationships.
Lydia started her career at Anixter as an Inside Sales Account Representative. She progressed up to Outside Sales Account Executive and then Houston Inside Sales Manager, where she oversaw a sales team of 21 employees. Lydia received Anixter's Million Dollar Sales Award consecutively from 1985-1992.
Lydia holds a BA degree in Radio, Television, and Film from Baylor University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She was certified by the State Bar of Texas in 1994. |
